Paths to Peace: Online Team Meeting Update

Yesterday, the Paths to Peace team gathered online to check in on the progress of our research and storytelling activities.

We reviewed responses from both our youth and tourism stakeholder surveys. So far, we’ve gathered 25 responses from young people across Europe — reaching our minimum, but we're committed to ensuring diversity and broad representation, so the surveys will stay open through mid-September. If you haven’t shared your views yet, now’s the time to get involved!

We also discussed how we’ll collect in-depth interviews with young changemakers and tourism professionals. These interviews will highlight inspiring voices, ideas, and experiences around peacebuilding and tourism — and help shape the project’s flagship publication later this year. Our researchers will be reaching out in the coming weeks to schedule these insightful conversations.

And finally, we began drafting plans for a collection of case studies — real-life stories of community-based tourism projects across Europe that promote peace, intercultural understanding, and local engagement. These stories will help us learn what’s working and how young people can lead similar change in their own communities.

A big thank you to everyone who joined the meeting. It’s exciting to see our shared vision coming together — stay tuned for more updates, stories, and opportunities to get involved 💬
