What They’re Doing in Paths to Peace
As a key co-leader in the Paths to Peace project, Hub Nicosia is driving activities that place youth at the centre of peacebuilding through tourism. Their main contributions include:
- Co-leading WP3 (Workshop Training Series and Mentorship) – Hosting the first hybrid workshop in Cyprus focused on intercultural dialogue and tourism as a bridge for peace. They will lead the inclusive recruitment of 60+ youth advocates from across Europe.
- Supporting WP2 (Research and Mapping) – Helping to design survey tools, methodologies, and interviews that explore how tourism can be used to promote peace from the perspective of young people.
- Leading the development of one or more case studies highlighting youth-led peacebuilding initiatives rooted in Cyprus’s rich history of social division and reconciliation.
- Contributing to project dissemination and sustainability by promoting the project across Mediterranean networks of educators, youth leaders, and civil society organisations.
Hub Nicosia’s approach combines academic research, community practice, and participatory design – ensuring that young people’s voices shape not only the project's outputs but its vision.
